the New Tokyo International Airport” or “permission for deactivation of the New Tokyo International Airport” respectively.
(Significant Alterations)
Article 85. Significant alterations for which permission should be obtained under the provisions of Article 43 paragraph 1 of the Law, shall, according to the aerodrome type, be as specified in the following:
(1)Terrestrial aerodromes and terrestrial heliports:
a)Relocation of the reference point;
b)Establishment of runway, landing area, taxiway, or apron area;
c)Alteration of length, width, or pavement strength of runway of landing area;
d)Alteration of width or pavement strength of taxiway;
e)Extension of apron area or alteration of pavement strength.
(2)Aquatic aerodromes and aquatic heliports:
a)Relocation of the reference point;
b)Establishment of landing area, water taxiway, or circling water area;
c)Alteration of length, width, or depth of the landing area;
d)Alteration of width or depth of the water taxiway or of diameters or depth of the circling water area.
Article 85-(2) Significant alterations at the New Tokyo International Airport requiring approval in the construction enforcement plan under the provisions of first half of Article 55-(3) paragraph 3 of the Law shall be the same items as those listed in Article 85, item 1, a) to e).
(Application for Permission for Alteration)
Article 86. Any person who shall apply for permission for the alteration of an aerodrome under the provisions of Article 38, paragraph 2 of the Law which is applied accordingly to Article 43, paragraph 2 of the Law, shall submit an application in triplicate for aerodrome alteration to the Minister of Transport specifying the following items:
(1)Name and address of the applicant;
(2)Location and name of the aerodrome;
(3)Items projected for alteration (attach documents and designs which describe the present status and the proposed alterations);
(4)Estimated cost of alterations;
(5)Scheduled dates for commencement and completion of the construction work;
(6)Revised administration plan if a revision is to be made to the administration plan;
